7 Local Restaurants You MUST Try in Cullman, Al.

The other day I was talking with an out-of-town client asking for the best spots to eat as they were passing through Cullman. You can Google and find a handful of restaurants to try, but they wanted something local and something locals loved. This is the short list from a Cullman native for dinner, lunch, and even a breakfast spot!

Augusta's Sports Grill

Augusta's Sports grill is a staple in Cullman. You'll see this parking lot FULL on game nights (and any weekend, really). Augusta's has something for everyone, including steak, wings, burgers, seafood, and a wide selection of craft beer. I'm a fan of the Hawaiian Chicken and HAVE to get their mozzarella sticks for the appetizer!

📍 609 Graham St SW, Cullman, AL 35055

Carlton's italian

You really can't have Cullman without Carlton's. Tucked into downtown Cullman right near the beautiful Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Carlton's is your go-to for a romantic dinner out.

📍 208 3rd Ave SE, Cullman, AL 35055

412 Public House

If you're looking for an upscale burger, awesome steak or seafood, and handcrafted cocktails, stop by 412 Public House. Opened in 2018, it is one of Cullman's newest local restaurants and does not disappoint.

Brothers on the Lake

Nestled away with a gorgeous view of Smith Lake, Brothers is a new unique spot for lunch or dinner. Live music and the BIGGEST, best mozzarella sticks ever make this high on my list. (Yes, I measure a restaurant's greatness based on their cheese stick game, ok??) 😁

📍173 County Road 312, Cullman, AL 35057

Sunflour Bakery & Eatery

The Sunflour Bakery and Eatery is the #1 breakfast and brunch spot in Cullman (in my opinion). They have awesome lunch options as well, but my personal favorite is their HUGE cinnamon rolls. I'm lucky enough to know the owners personally and let me tell you- nothing they make or bake can taste bad. A MUST taste if you're passing through Cullman!

📍326 County Road 222 Cullman, AL 35055

All-Steak Restaurant

Folks all over Alabama have heard of All-Steaks famous Orange Rolls. While the orange-gooey goodness is definitely a reason worth stopping, I also love All-Steak for any fancy date night.

Hank's Sports Bar & Rumor's Deli

Rumor's Deli has been a community staple and the best lunch spot in Cullman for years. With the new location and owners of the Deli came an addition- Hank's Sports Bar. Now you can enjoy both menus at the same location.

📍601 4th Street SW Cullman, AL 35055

So there you have it! 7 eats I could not go without as a Cullman local. I definitely left some other great spots off this list as well for the sake of time. If you're a fellow Cullmanite, comment which you would add to this list!
